Client and Therapist Relationship

  1. To achieve the best results from Hypnotherapy there must be a willingness from the client to commit to the process and for them to be motivated to make any desired change in behaviour.   By agreeing to undertake a course of therapy you are agreeing to engage with the treatment process outlined to you by your therapist, and fully participate in therapy sessions to the best of your ability.
  2. As a professional Hypnotherapist your therapist is bound by a code of conduct and follows performance and ethical guidelines.  Your therapist will never suggest anything that might be harmful, unethical or against your will.
  3. There is no guarantee that Hypnotherapy will be successful in 100% of cases.  There are several factors that influence the outcome of individual therapy.  While benefits are typically observed in the majority of cases clients should note there can be no guarantees of success or cure in relation to their individual circumstances.

Provision of Hypnotherapy

  1. For new clients wishing to explore the benefits of Hypnotherapy an initial introductory consultation session of 30 minutes is provided free of charge.  During this session clients are encouraged to identify the changes they hope to achieve from Hypnotherapy while  the Therapist identifies the most suitable process and techniques that will best achieve those aims.
  2. Attendance at an introductory session does not commit a client to participate in any future treatment.
  3. Therapy sessions normally last for 55 mins.  Sessions may be provided ‘face to face’ or ‘online’ via a video link.  The number and type of sessions required to meet a clients’ outcomes will vary dependent of the presenting circumstances.  A proposed course of therapy  would be agreed between the therapist and client in advance at the start of therapy.
  4. Clients who present for treatment under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs (except those medications prescribed by their doctor) will not be treated.  If a client attends a therapy  session under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs or demonstrates any violent/abusive behaviour we reserve the right to cancel the treatment session and refuse any future treatment.
  5. If a client arrives late for an appointment every effort will be made to utilise the time remaining to provide a reduced therapy session.
